On Saturday, April 29th, at 8 pm, Saint Benedict Catholic Church in Richmond presents "Monteverdi at 450," a concert in celebration of the 450th anniversary of the birth of Claudio Monteverdi, the revolutionary composer who changed the course of music history. The early music vocal ensemble Zephyrus, directed by Megan Sharp, will be featured in a program which includes the stunning Missa in illo tempore, Monteverdi's masterpiece of traditional Renaissance counterpoint, as well as several of his finest motets. Zephyrus will be joined by organist Jonathan Schakel. St. Benedict Catholic Church is located at 300 North Sheppard Street in Richmond.
