A new play by Andrew Gall, with material from Henry David Thoreau's Walden. Lester is a high powered lobbyist, political consultant, and corporate lawyer who is promised a pardon if he takes the fall for his important friends who committed some serious crimes against the state. As Lester waits for his pardon his life outside falls apart, and he has to complete reading and writing assignments from Walden; or, Life in the Woods as part of the prison education program and is drawn kicking and screaming into the transcendental vision of Henry David Thoreau's contemplation of solitude and spirituality.
