Ladyfest Benefit at Plaza Bowl Organizers behind the upcoming Ladyfest in April have been working for months to pull off the all-woman performer festival. This benefit for the event features a variety of rock bands, including Stop It, Operation Latte Thunder, Wow Owls and Respira (pictured). All this rock ‘n’ roll and miniature bowling are available for one low price of $8. Doors open at 8 p.m. Bands begin at 9. Robot Love The man responsible all those silver robots scuttling over the walls around town has an exhibit of his iconographic work at Chop Suey Books near VCU. The closing reception for “Robots in Love,” new paintings by Nick Kuszyk, takes place Valentine’s night from 7-10 p.m. at 1317 W. Cary St. Food is provided by Sticky Rice.

Chez Roue in Ashland The house jazz band for Southern Culture leaves its domain and does a rare satellite show at Ashland Coffee and Tea. Billed as Love Songs with Chez Roue, the show is sure to have some slow jams and swinging favorites. It starts at 8 and costs $5. 798-1702.

Brewmaster Concert Main Street Beer Co. invites the Southern-rock jam band Jupiter Coyote to its latest Brewmaster Concert Series. Tickets are $5, and the doors open at 9. 1911 W. Main St.

Supagroup at The Canal Club Led by brothers Chris and Benji Lee, this New Orleans band of hard-living AC/DC-esque rockers will appeal to fans of Queens of the Stone Age, Supersuckers and The Drive-By Truckers, all touring mates at one time or another. They share the stage with Octane Saints and Big Fast Car. Doors open at 8 p.m. Tickets, $7, available at Plan 9.

Corntooth at Alley Katz Corntooth and Dark Little Rooms play songs to rock your sweetheart to. 9 p.m. $6.

Love Stories The Valentine Richmond History Center offers a Historic Richmond Love Stories guided bus tour and dinner, 5:30 p.m. $80 per person. $150 per couple. 649-0711.
