The Music Man

When: Thu., April 26, 7:30 p.m., Fri., April 27, 7:30 p.m. and Sat., April 28, 7:30 p.m. 2018

The Freeman Players will present Meredith Wilson’s "The Music Man" a delightful American classic set in small town River City, Iowa, of 1912. It centers around a fast-talking traveling salesman, selling the idea of a boys’ band, complete with shiny brass instruments and uniforms. The only problem is, he claims to be a professor of music, but doesn’t play a note. The town librarian, who also happens to be the music teacher sees right through him, but gets caught off guard by his charismatic personality and eventually sees what he has given to the town: hopes and dreams. Performances are April 26, 27 and 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the Douglas Freeman auditorium. Advance tickets may be purchased for $10 before school and during all lunches in front of the auditorium beginning April 16 or at the door before each performance for $12.

Price: $12.
