Few are better at encapsulating the futility of financial stability than struggling artists, and while the nation's economic recession doesn't make life any easier for the likes of local painters, sculptors and craft workers, it hasn't stopped them from twisting the circumstances into a source of inspiration. Examining money and its relation to our habits, spending and daily routines, Gallery5 presents “The Cost of Living: Reflections of an Economic Crisis,” showcasing the work of numerous artists, including Bizhan Khodabandeh (pictured). Opens March 6 with a reception at 7 p.m. and runs through March 27. 200 W. Marshall St. 644-0005.
