The Melvins and Red Kross and Toshi Kasai at the Broadberry

Tuesday, Oct. 15

One of the great alternative metal bands of all-time, the Melvins usually conjure the term “sludge” but their shows are nothing if not furiously rocking — and this tour, they are apparently dropping “Deuce,” a fine Kiss cover. Don’t miss opener, Red Kross, a rockin’ early ’80s SoCal band featuring Melvins bassist Steven Shane McDonald. Friends in Oregon tell me their set was worth price of admission alone. $25. thebroadberry.com.
