The Fall Line-Up

If you're not sweating, it must be art season.

The work of New England abstract artist Bernard Chaet comes together in a miniretrospective, "A Good Day for Painting." Jeremy Drummond's show offers digital and video art (like this still from "Prevention Tank: Home Is Where You're Happy," above), a response to, as he puts it, "the underside of contemporary media culture." Margaret Ross Tolbert's "Doors" captures the artist's perceptions of ancient trade routes in the Middle East. And the Semi-Annual Student Exhibition is, as always, a grab bag of artistic possibility keeping us on the edge of our bar stools. 289-8276. — Brandon Reynolds
