Terry Lacy is an American artist, living in central Virginia. Having recently retired from her 40 year career as a jewelry designer and maker, Terry is now free to fully embrace life as an oil painter. She began painting in 1990, first with watercolors. Her early experience with the transparency and luminosity of watercolor continues to influence her work. Terry now works exclusively with oil paints, as did her mother and grandmother. Terry is a representational painter, with bold color and contrast ever present in her work.
