Star Power

Dancing the zydeco in Sandra Bullock's footsteps.

None of which has anything to do with the fact that zydeco bands like The Creole Cowboys are imported monthly from Louisiana and points along the deltas for evenings of accordion-laced tomfoolery, preserving a sound that threatens to sink beneath the great big bayou of history. Jeffrey Broussard leads the charge, above, with a very shiny squeezebox. You'll even learn how to dance to it, for free. Imagine the laugh track Aug. 25, starting with a dance lesson at 7 p.m. and music 8-11 p.m. $10. 288-2800. — Brandon Reynolds
