"Jitney" Sycamore Rouge works with the African-American Repertory Theatre for August Wilson's series of stories of the black American experience during the 1970s as told through the passengers of a makeshift taxi company. "Legacy of Light" Barksdale Theatre presents last season's best new play from the American Theatre Critics Association. It follows two women from different centuries: a real life physicist and courtesan to Voltaire, and a present-day astrophysicist grappling with motherhood and intellectual pursuits.
