Small Island Big Song

When: Wed., March 16, 7:30-9:30 p.m. 2022

The artists in Small Island Big Song would tell you that the ocean does not divide their island homes. It connects them. In this inspiring multimedia concert, eight Indigenous musicians from New Zealand, Malaysia, Taiwan, Australia, Madagascar, Easter Island, Solomon Islands, and Papua New Guinea come together to blend their traditions and create music celebrating the ways we are all connected and to call attention to a region on the frontline of the climate crisis. The result is a breathtakingly beautiful sound and a timely and uplifting musical statement for environmental and cultural awareness.
