In good company
Laura Morand Bailey of Ettamae's Cafe launches a charitable concept, Tea and Empathy, at the Jackson Ward eatery on Nov. 13. Guests pay $20 for a light spread served from 4-6 p.m., and half of the fee benefits FeedMore's backpack program, which helps undernourished local children. This will be the start of a series, Bailey says: “The goal of the teas is to bring together people who care about Richmond and the well-being of its citizens and who understand the important role that nonprofits play. Like everything at Ettamae's it's a fun wink to bygone days where people discussed important issues over tea and created powerful social change over dainty finger sandwiches and pastries.” You can reserve a spot at the limited-space event by calling 888-8058. 522 N. Second St. ettamaescafe.com.
