Beer tastings and art shows aren’t usually done in the same area, but when beer is the focus of the art, it’s a whole different story. Established in 2009 by Brian Gearing and Ric Hersh, Screens ’n’ Suds showcase a beer-inspired art-print series, with sales benefiting the Central Virginia Chapter of MS Society and the National Parkinson Foundation. The event features concert posters, art prints and T-shirts from artists from around the country as well as beer tasting from Hardywood Park, Devil’s Backbone, Legend Brewing and others. Live music includes DJ Lighting’s Girl, DJ Kenny, the No BS Brass Band and the New Belgians. Screens ’n’ Suds are on tap for Capital Ale House on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 4-9 p.m. $5 suggested donation. 780-2537.
