Sarah West gives voice to apparitions. She doesn’t sing as much as she lets tones waft wistfully from her throat. It’s heady, ethereal stuff born from a meditative place that nonetheless tells you to kill Buddha if you meet him on the road. West’s ceremonial, Eastern-influenced music is born from a spiritual yearning, and she embodies a quiet reverence for the riddle of life. Fans of Gregorian chants, Alfred Deller, Krishna Das, or Brian Eno’s “Music for Airports,” should find much to enjoy. She performs at the Sacred Healing Concert at the Aquarian Bookstore on Friday at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $25-$35 and registration is required. 353-5575. aquarianbookshop.com.
