Multi-instrumentalist group Rusted Root integrates jam-heavy rock with a fusion of acoustic, rock, world and other music genres. The group released “Cruel Sun” in 1992. But it wasn’t until 1994’s “When I Woke” that it garnered national attention, especially with singles “Send Me on My Way” and “Ecstasy” playing on college radio stations. As its popularity began to rise, multiple albums, headlining tours and an increasing number of fans soon followed. After a constant touring schedule for the past couple of years, the band went into the studio and came back with “Movement” in 2012. Rusted Root performs at John Marshall Hotel Ballrooms on Wednesday, April 10, at 8 p.m. $25-$40. johnmarshall.revotheory.com.
