Although World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has seen a definite downturn in popularity in the last few years (spoiler alert: it's fake), local wrestling group Richmond Lucha Libre didn't seem to get the message. It's a good thing, too. Judging by the popularity of its Shockoe shows, there's clearly a market for the violent, albeit choreographed, fights that create a unique fusion of the WWE's spectacle and the underground urgency of "Fight Club." Devoted fans watch their favorite wrestlers face off in a shoddy ring, covered with a mixture of fake and real blood, beating each other to a pulp (which is often not quite fake enough). RLL's all-new show happens at Have a Nice Day CafA© Friday, June 20, at 9 p.m. The first 250 spectators get in free; for the rest, admission is $5. 771-1700.
