Remembering the Great War: Farmerettes

When: Sun., June 10, 2-3:30 p.m. 2018

Join us each month as we commemorate the 100th anniversary of World War I, the Great War. More than 20,000 women from cities and towns across the United States joined the Women’s Land Army of America. They supported the war effort by keeping the food production going while the men were away fighting. Historian, Anna Kiefer, will share this little-known story of women who helped win the war in Europe and for women’s rights at home.
