“Reach Out” is a concert featuring the works of Bartok, Carlos Simon, and Mozart. Along with Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet, one of the crown jewels of the classical music repertoire, the program will feature Carlos Simon’s “An Elegy,” a musical response to the deaths of Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner, and Michael Brown. Despite the challenges of presenting live concerts during the current COVID - 19 pandemic, CMSCVA is still bringing incredible live music to Richmond, as it has for the past 15 years, this time with some favorite musicians from the Richmond Symphony, and musical guests from Maryland, D.C, and NYC.
