We at Style don't like your family any more than you do, and we know that when they come rolling into town this week all slobbering and smelling of cheap sentiment you'll want to get them up and out of the house before they crease your good plastic slipcovers or start eating your potpourri. To that end, we recommend "The Nutcracker." It's not an original choice, but it is two hours, and simulates the beauty and majesty of the holidays through fantasy, glowing sets and the simple pleasure of watching the artistry of movement. Unlike the movements of your nephew, who insists on rubbing against your leg like somebody from the cast of "Cats." Allow yourself the pleasure of imagining that giant mice might take your kin away, too. The performance closes after six more shows at the Landmark Theater, Dec. 21-23, with matinees and evening shows. Meet the characters at the Nutcracker Sweets Parties, Dec. 21-22 at 4 p.m. Tickets are $8-$100. Call 262-8100 or visit www.ticketmaster.com.
