Pours for Peace is derived from a Hosteling International initiative called Sleep for Peace established in 2013. This program is supported by the United Nations World Tourism Organization and highlights the important role that hosteling plays in the development of intercultural understanding amongst young people at home and abroad. Each year the United Nations celebrates an International Day of Peace on September 21st. This year, HI USA and Hosteling International will be hosting Postcard Parties across the globe to bring communities together, and promote a dialogue of the relationship between travel and peace. We will be sending these postcards to the United Nations so that they and others can see how travel can promote peace worldwide. What better way to promote peace than over a great beer at Champion Brewing RVA!
