Isley Brewing Company will once again be providing post-race refreshments during the annual Pedal Through Petals Bike Ride with Amy's Army of Cancer Warriors! This year, Amy's Army has also added a new running event as well! Join us for a guided tour of Richmond's most beautiful architecture and gardens, on your bike! Please bring your bike, a water bottle and a bike helmet (helmets are required to ride). Party Central is at Agecroft Hall & Gardens. You can use the "bike valet" while you register for the ride. Registration begins at 8:00 am. Then, starting in waves at 9:00, through a final start time for some at about 10:00, your guide will lead you through the gracious neighborhoods. From time to time, you will stop, dismount your bike and tour some gorgeous gardens. Your group of riders will be assigned a ride leader who will make sure you do not get lost. Nobody will be left behind. After some leisurely riding, you will return to Party Central, where you can get food and beer or wine. We will have silent auction after the ride! We have some amazing items! Proceeds from the bike tour and silent auction are for the benefit of Amy's Army of Cancer Warriors. We will donate the proceeds to VCU Massey Cancer Center, to be used for life-saving research. Watch for updates at www.AmysArmyRVA.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Celebrate Cinco de Mayo and Crush Cancer at the same time with this chip-timed 5K, starting at Agecroft Hall and Gardens, www.agecrofthall.org, through beautiful Windsor Farms, designed in the 1920s to look like a quaint English village. Runners will find the course flat and fast, but walkers will enjoy stopping to smell the roses: flowers will be in bloom everywhere you go! The race is hosted by Amy’s Army of Cancer Warriors and proceeds will go to cancer research at VCU Massey Cancer Center right here in RVA. After running through the finish line, children with cancer, our “Podium Kids” will present the awards to the fastest runners. Plus they and you can make extra Medals for Heroes that will be given to cancer patients. Register for Kids Run.
