If this show were a boxing match, it would be billed as the big three of here-and-now Richmond music-making. The People’s Blues of Richmond, known as PBR, is the city’s reigning rock ’n’ roll champ. The trio has spent the last couple of months spreading its hard-partying gospel to parts far and wide, promoting a knockout sophomore release, “Good Time Suicide.” Avers, a Richmond super group, features members of Hypercolor, the Trillions, Farm Vegas, the Mason Brothers and the Head and the Heart. They play a distinctive brand of psychedelic garage pop, proving that sometimes the reality lives up to the hype. The newcomers on the bill, Sleepwalkers, aren’t too shabby either. Their jabs and body blows pack a mighty all-things-rock punch. The three play Friday, June 27, at the Broadberry. Doors open for the all-ages bout at 8 p.m. Admission is $10. thebroadberry.com.
