Who wants to judge a beauty pageant? If you have your hand up, you’re in luck. The Richmond Triangle Players premieres “Pageant,” an interactive play in which the audience votes on who’ll reign as Miss Glamouresse for the evening. If you like “RuPaul’s Drag Race” on Logo TV — and who doesn’t — you won’t want to miss it. Conceived by Robert Longbottom, “Pageant” pits six beauty queens (Brian Baez, Andrew Etheredge, Brent Gallahan, Todd Minnich, Fabian Starr and Joe Winters) against each other in singing, dancing, bathing suit and formal attire competitions. The musical comedy puts a premium on campy fun, and the Justin Amellio-directed production is based on the book, music and lyrics of Bill Russell, Albert Evans and Frank Kelly. Doors for the opening-night show Wednesday, Aug. 6, are at 8. Tickets are $18-$30. Through Aug. 30. rtriangle.org.
