Lifelong learning through the Shepherd's Center’s Open University offers opportunities for intellectual challenge and social interaction. Three eight-week terms a year in the fall, winter and spring, feature well-qualified instructors in foreign languages, literature, history, political science, art, music, philosophy, Feldenkrais and yoga. Instructors include both active and retired professors from area universities, as well as local professionals and celebrities. This is one of the best bargains for quality lifelong learning in the area. The $40 member rate covers all eight weeks of classes. Membership is only $25 for the year.
