Municipal Waste, Snack Truck and Earthling at Hardywood Park Craft Brewery

Friday, Sept. 26. 8 p.m.

I love Municipal Waste. In terms of audience participation, only lead singer Tony Foresta’s other band, Iron Reagan, can match the longtime Richmond thrash merchants for making people come together as one. Sure, its adrenaline-charged music is designed to make most eardrums bleed, but for pure exhilaration, it can’t be beat. The hard-working group released a bunch of recordings since forming in 2000, but it’s first and foremost a live experience. If you haven’t seen these musicians in their sweaty element onstage, you haven’t witnessed the true genius behind one of the best live bands in the metal and hardcore world. Municipal Waste kicks out the jams Friday, Sept. 26, at Hardywood Park Craft Brewery, with recently retooled Richmond riff rockers Snack Truck and the psychedelic crust metal of Earthling. Doors open for the all-ages workout session at 8 p.m. Admission is $10-$12.
