Matchbox Twenty at the Landmark Theater

Sunday, March 10, at 7:30 p.m.

Matchbox Twenty broke into the mainstream back in 1996, with its album “Yourself or Someone Like You” (remember “3 a.m.”? “Push”?) leading the group to sell more than 30 million records worldwide and earning countless awards — including five Grammy nominations and four American Music Award nods. After a string of moderately successful releases, the band went on hiatus for a number of years, which allowed lead singer Rob Thomas to pursue a solo career. Thomas went on to win three Grammys, 11 BMI Awards and two Billboard songwriter of the year honors for both his chart-topping solo album as well as collaborations with Santana and Mick Jagger. The band has reunited and last year released “North,” its first new album in a decade, which has met critical acclaim with singles “She’s So Mean” and “Overjoyed.” Matchbox Twenty performs at the Landmark Theater on Sunday, March 10, at 7:30 p.m. $39-$95. landmarktheater.net.
