Mandalas are one of humankind’s most ancient art forms. From the Sanskrit word loosely translated as “circle”, the geometric patterns radiating from a center point mimic the repetition of circles found in nature: the sun, planets, bird nests, the petals of a flower and even circles of friends and families within a community. Explore patterns in the garden, then construct a mandala with instructor Celeste Johnston’s guidance. Draw and color it to refresh your spirit and discover how this art form can be a form of self-expression and mindfulness.
