Loose Gravel at the Pour House

John Lennon was just 40 when he was murdered outside his New York apartment. Had it never happened he may have lived to see his 70th birthday on Oct. 9. Responsible for some of the most innovative and recognizable songs in popular music whether as part of the Beatles or solo, the Nowhere Man left an unmistakable legacy in his wake. Paying tribute the best way it knows how, local mainstay Loose Gravel is scheduled to perform “A Hard Day's Night” in its entirety Saturday, Oct. 9, at the Pour House. Acknowledging one of popular music's defining figures, the show begins at 9 p.m. $5. 364-9083.  — Mike
