Reviewer Sara Kuhs' comments about the restaurant are quite revealing about her culinary knowledge ("Face Forward," Food & Drink). Most folks who enjoy pork barbecue would not dream of having it with a glass of wine. Acidic, you say?
Fellow North Carolinians prefer a vinegary sauce, not sweet, tomato-based stuff. Still, this probably wouldn't have occurred to your reviewer. There are times, after all, when only a beer will get the job done. I'm not sure that a beer would help a pork barbecue pizza.
