January Passages

Since New Year's we've lost a number of Richmonders who gave generously of their time and considerable talents to inspire this community. Among these were two widely known and admired personalities, icons really, who wove unique threads into the complex fabric of late-20th-century Richmond. Interestingly, neither of them held public office, headed major civic organizations, possessed tremendous wealth or preached from a pulpit … even a bully pulpit. But, in distinct ways, both brought boundless energy, keen intelligence, unmistakable individuality and, more than anything, an unshakable love for this town and its potential.
