Richmond Public Law Library kicks off its month-long August 100th Anniversary Commemoration of the passage and ratification of the 19th Amendment with a 10:30 am viewing of Iron Jawed Angels which "tells the true story of how defiant and brilliant young activists Alice Paul . . . and Lucy Burns . . . took the women's suffrage movement by storm, putting their lives at risk to help American women win the right to vote." At 12 noon Kathryn Roe Coker, Ph.D. leads the discussion about the hard-fought struggle to win suffrage for women and some resources available at RPL.
