AutumnFest is Hanover Tavern Foundation’s signature community event. The grounds become the backdrop for a day of food, family fun and live music from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event features smoked pork and beef brisket, Brunswick stew, side dishes and hand-made pies. In addition, there is local craft beer and wine, live music by the Anvil Brothers, Nick Faulconer and Chad Hulsey, and corn hole. Children’s activities include pumpkin decorating, a petting zoo, hay slide, hair painting, a scavenger hunt, a magic show, crafts and a Bass Pro programs. Proceeds benefit Hanover Tavern Foundation to preserve, interpret and utilize the historic building as an historic, educational, community and cultural resource center.
