Governor’s School to Celebrate Building’s Centennial

When: Sat., Sept. 22, 1-4 p.m.

On Saturday, Sept. 22, the Appomattox Regional Governor’s School for the Arts and Technology, in the former Petersburg High School, will celebrate the building’s centennial. The event, which is open to the public, includes a light reception, tours that focus on the changes and a montage of the 100 years of the building’s history performed by our award-winning theater and dance students. There will be a large display of memorabilia from the Petersburg High School and a place for alumni to create audio and or video recordings of their memories.
