The Hand Workshop Art Center The Craft & Design Show has a reputation for hosting some of the finest contemporary crafts in the country, and opens Friday at 7 p.m. It runs daily through Nov. 17 at the new Convention Center, Fifth and Broad streets. Adults $10. 353-0094.

Interaction 21 VCU presents works on paper by 25 graduating seniors from the Painting and Printmaking Department, on view in the Fish Bowl Gallery on the third floor of the Fine Arts Building Nov. 18 through Nov. 23. The selected works display the artistic achievements and developments of emerging graduating artists. The reception is Thursday, Nov. 21, 5-7 p.m. 1000 W. Broad St.
