letter is worth a thousand words. "The Word Made Fresh," an exhibition at the Transmission Gallery, proves that the lines and circles that represent language can also become art. The installation pulls together artists from France and the United States and displays their use of language symbols in drawings, prints, sculpture, performance art and paintings. Pictured is "My Hand," a lithograph by REMED, an artist who knows the strength of strategic text, such as capital letters. The show continues through Jan. 29. 321 Brook Road. 200-9985.
