Doxology, an expression of praise to God, will come alive in this concert by the choirs of Richmond’s First Baptist Church: the Church Choir, One Accord (the Church’s audition adult chamber choir), the Youth Girls’ Ensemble, FirstRingers handbell choir and instrumentalists. This concert includes choral and instrumental works that encompass a remarkable variety of styles, including Renaissance, Romantic, 20th century, African-American spirituals, hymn anthems and jazz by Mendelssohn, Palestrina, Andre Thomas, Dan Forrest and Will Todd.
