Sports fans hog all the wings, but you can force some equity on Sunday, Oct. 15, from noon to 5 p.m. It’s the fourth go-around for this popular shindig and this year the WingFest will take place a block away from the 17th Street Farmers’ Market at 1615 E. Broad St. because of market renovations.
While football fans are glued to the big-screen showing of the Washington Redskins vs. the San Francisco 49ers game, the rest of us can fill up on the most delicious and most unhealthy part of the chicken. Once you’ve washed it down with a couple of beers, you’ll also get an up-close view of a wing-eating competition and see the crowning of this year’s Wing King.
There’s a $1 suggested donation. enrichmond.org/events/kickin-chicken-wingfest.
