This weekend kicks off Richmond’s holiday shopping season at the 53rd annual contemporary craft show, Craft and Design, held by the Visual Arts Center of Richmond. This year, it’s at the newly renovated train shed at Main Street Station. Awards are presented in ceramics, contemporary design, fiber, glass, traditional craft materials, precious metals, wood and recycled materials. New this year is the Weinstein Properties Education Wing, a space where adults and families can explore the different media taught by VisArts while creating some work themselves. Also, there will be a beer garden by Hardywood Park Craft Brewery and food from Alamo BBQ, Goatocado and Espresso-a-Go-Go. General shopping hours are from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, and Sunday, Nov. 19. $10. visarts.org.
