David Burnett's Bob Marley Photos

Through June 26

Renowned American photojournalist David Burnett has spent the past four decades capturing some of the most recognizable moments and names in modern history. In 1976, while on assignment for Time magazine, Burnett shadowed reggae legend Bob Marley, taking more than 200 shots of the musical artist. Featuring images from live performances, portraits and everyday candidness, Burnett recently collected his work for a published visual biography, “Soul Rebel: An Intimate Portrait of Bob Marley in Jamaica and Beyond.” Coinciding with the release of his book, Burnett and his work have been taking part in a national tour, with the most recent stop being Metro Space Gallery. With framed originals on hand, the exhibition is on display through June 26. 643-7125. — Mike Hilleary
