We're excited to welcome Daniel Crawford of Crewel & Unusual to Quirk Gallery on Saturday, May 18th for a trunk show featuring a collection of patches, apparel, and resin antlers. Daniel's "Crewel & Unusual" art encompasses his many branching interests featuring wearable designs inspired by nature, history, and pop culture. Daniel has been working with industrial embroidery machines for more than 10 years. He got his BFA in Sculpture at VCU. After making faux resin antlers under the name of "The New Woodsman" for several years, he re-branded and opened Crewel & Unusual in 2017. He works out of his Lombardy Street studio making embroidered apparel, patches, and resin sculptures, as well as offering custom embroidery.
