Colonial Militia and U.S. Military Appreciation Weekend
When: Sat., May 16, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. 2015
Showcase of 17th-century military training with musket and cannon firings. Historical interpreters will demonstrate how military tactics evolved through the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. Powhatan Indian interpreters will also demonstrate how native tactics and weaponry were adapted and used against the colonists.
