In addition to playing some of the top venues in the mid-Atlantic (the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh, N.C., and the Lotus Lounge in Washington), DJ Mass Fx has garnered a loyal following in the RVA, spinning at the Tobacco Company, Lucky Buddha, Bank and Vault, the Hat Factory, Off the Hookah, the Camel and a major closing gig for rap-it boy Whiz Khalifa at the National. Young’s planning an East Coast tour and hopes to play the West Coast soon. Why does he love being behind the decks? The noted lady killer says: “There’s nothing better then seeing a crowd enjoy hearing some of my favorite songs.”
