June 5-6, 2021 – Charles City, Va. – 157th Anniversary - The Action at Wilson’s Wharf Located between Richmond and Williamsburg in Charles City, Virginia, Fort Pocahontas was the site of the May 24, 1864 Action in which United States Colored Troops defended the fort they built against an assault by Fitzhugh Lee’s Confederate Cavalry. Open to the public 10-4 Saturday and 10-3 Sunday: $10/adults, $8/students. Charles City Co. residents free with ID.
