Buttons and Bows has been a Richmond mainstay for more than 20 years. Kathy Gary, store manager and buyer, attributes the longevity to classic clothing, shows and toys that aren’t easily found, such as smocked dresses, christening outfits and cotillion gloves. “We carry little things that you don’t find everywhere,” she says.
The three women behind Clover, a consignment store open since July, have eight children between them, giving them a familiarity with popular children’s brands. The store also carries some new items and has a small play area for children. “We were very thoughtful in how we designed the store,” Clover business partner Lyn Page says.
