The University of Richmond welcomes Jason Chin, author of the acclaimed children’s book “Grand Canyon,” to discuss the development of his picture books. The Feb. 22 event , which is free and open to the public, will be held in the Keller Hall Reception Room. Chin specializes in science literacy and is the author and illustrator of “Gravity” and “Island: A Story of the Galapagos,” both of which won Gryphon Honor Book awards from the Center for Children’s Books. He also authored “Redwoods” and “Coral Reefs.” The event is co-sponsored by Boatwright Library and the School of Professional and Continuing Studies Graduate Education Program.
