Take a guided tour and discover what coal mining was all about. View one of the last standing stone structures of the Grove Shaft and explore the impact this industry had on the region. Learn about rock types, conduct a scale hardness tests on rock samples and view fossils. This activity addresses geology and the history of coal mining. Program meets at amphitheater at the park.
