New this year, our most in-depth tour features a tour of the country’s first neo-classical government building designed by Thomas Jefferson and has served as the Commonwealth’s Capitol as well as the Capitol of the Confederacy. Tour the inside, followed by a walk through Virginia’s People’s Park – home to numerous statues and monuments, as well as Virginia’s Governor’s Mansion continuously occupied since 1813. Highlights include the State Capitol, the George Washington Equestrian Monument, the Executive Mansion, the Civil War warning bell, statues of notable Virginians and the Civil Rights monument.
