You want to know what’s brave and noble? Thirty-three actors in high Roman fashion engaging in a little improv Shakespeare to make death proud to take them. The Henley Street Theatre and Richmond Shakespeare will be doing just that when they present “Bootleg Shakespeare: Anthony and Cleopatra” on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts’ Leslie Cheek Theatre. The one-night-only production, directed by Foster Solomon and starring Joe Carlson as Antony and Katrinah Lewis as Cleopatra, features a who’s who of the Richmond theater scene, including Liz Blake White, Elise Boyd, Wendy Carter and Dixon Cashwell performing the 16th-century tragedy live and without a net. Matt Treacy and the Bardship Enterprise play a pre-show concert at 5:30 p.m. at the Best Café before the show begins at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free and seating is first come, first served. VIP tickets are available at henleystreettheatre.org.
