One thing that bonds all the music I like best is if the right people hate it. That’s an unintended benefit of listening to the music of Bollywood. Me? I get goose bumps just thinking about classics by Mohammed Rafi and Lata Mangeshkar. All nimrods feel when they hear Hindi film songs is horrible pain. It’s doubtful any of those malignant sorts will be at Lemon Cuisine of India on Saturday, Dec. 21, when DJ Carlito, aka Carl Hamm, holds his Bollywood Dance Night. The high-pitched registers and passionate paces will see to that. And that’s a good thing. You don’t want those types of bummers around when you’re trying to touch the face of God anyway. Like Indian cuisine, Bollywood music is a taste too far for some people. But if you like the food, you will love the music. The dancing starts at 10:30 p.m. Free.
