Men who are capable of juggling the affections of multiple women simultaneously are in equal measures brilliant and complete idiots. The sheer effort, charisma, cleverness and creativity it takes to maintain the happiness and demand of not just one, but two or more lovely ladies (all without them finding out about each other) is downright overachieving compared with what all those monogamous, committed guys put in. While we may not morally approve, watching the fallout of a scheming Casanova can make for some solid entertainment. Such is the case with Barksdale Theatre’s “Boeing-Boeing,” a Tony Award-winning play that follows the exploits of a Parisian Lothario whose propensity for bedding airline stewardesses comes to kick him in the butt when all three of his fiancees all stop for a visit to his apartment at the same time. “Boeing-Boeing” opens at the Hanover Tavern on Friday, July 22, at 8 p.m., with shows continuing through Sept. 4. $19-$38. 282-2620.
